Retired Navy SEAL Morgan Luttrell has recently picked up endorsements from two more law enforcement leaders in his bid to succeed retiring Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX) in Texas’ 8th Congressional District.
Ray Hunt, the former president and current executive director of the Houston Police Officers’ union and Chris Jones, Constable of Montgomery County Precinct 5, are the latest community leaders to back Luttrell. “I have nothing but respect for our law enforcement officers who keep us safe here at home,” said Luttrell.
“I am excited to be endorsed by Ray Hunt, Former President and current Executive Director of the Houston Police Officers’ Union,” Luttrell continued. “Now is the time to “back the blue” and stand with our men and women on the force.”
Luttrell also thanked Jones for his support, saying that the constable, “serves our community bravely every single day.”
Jones serves Constable Precinct 5, which encompasses the Magnolia area in western Montgomery County. He is the second Montgomery County constable to endorse Luttrell, joining Precinct 1 Constable Philip Cash, who covers the northern part of the county.
