After failing to adopt bylaws or select officers at their biannual organizational meeting, the Montgomery County (TX) Republican Party Executive Committee held an emergency meeting to address issues left unresolved by the early adjournment of the organizational meeting. County Chairman Bryan Christ lost control of the unruly committee, and the meeting devolved into a shouting match. The precinct chairs silenced the county chairman’s microphone, and threatened to remove him, at which point he walked out of the meeting, followed by most of his supporters.
